“I think therefore I am” (Descartes). These words simply make it clear that to think is the supreme talent of any human being. Thoughts provide food to the human mind, creating a space for innumerable questions and answers. The present work of poetry intends to follow this path set by the poets before us.

The collection begins by contemplating on the reason for any human being to be born and live a life that is no less than a roller coaster ride. The society nurtures and brings up a child and the child learns its primary lessons from this same society. Societal hegemony proves to be both a boon and a bane for him. The imperfections of the societal and parochial set up forces the sensitive individuals to contemplate on its ways. The anthology begins with a reflection on the ways of life and society. The poems look into the nature and the ways of the world and a longing for the eternal companionship, yet to be found. The proceeding poems question the reason to be alive, check out the beauty of the earth, yet missing the ecstatic melodies of the soul. It is like sand dunes reflecting a mirage yet trying to reach out to it.

Then dawn strikes, the poems grow with the discovery of the euphonies and nectar of the eternal. This spring of nectar brings along the real joy and ecstasy in the writing. Worldly joys, pains and emotions sublime into the eternal spring. The poems show how supernal love fills one’s heart with immeasurable delight, how love rises above mere physical existence, how one becomes selfless and completely surrenders. Love brings sorrows with joys, but these sorrows are impregnated with a unique joy that remains indefinable. The frame of mind changes, the shackles of society and the pain of being a human are left alone for the body. Discovery of its true goal elates it, giving myriad shades to the poems as well.

Myths, chronicles, tales of love and courage now seem to connect themselves. The motives behind sacrifices, adventures, surrenders appear crystal clear once the ethos of ethereal love is felt. Love lends a power, a miraculous feel that extends even to one’s fellow beings giving an altogether different direction to life.

The poems mark a journey of a human heart from birth and maturity to the final discovery of its eternal love, crossing the rivers of struggles, pains and quandaries to realize and relish the rare gift of detachment with the world. Tales, narratives and mysteries of eternal love are scattered throughout literature. But each one to his own rules the roost here, it is for the individual to experience his share of love and embark on his own journey.

The present collection of poems hopefully touches the chords of the readers’ hearts and provides a simple and a humble road map to venture into this dream territory.
