Shariq Us Sabah
Shariq Us Sabah (b. November 2, 1993) is an Indian author, poet, economist and researcher whose work spans contemporary romance, introspective poetry, and critical essays on politics and society. He is the recipient of the Literary Promise Award for his debut collection The Subdued Sound Rochak Publishers, 2013, which was acclaimed for its subtle lyricism and emotional resonance. His second collection, Manifesto of a Lover Cyberwit Publishers, 2014, further established his reputation as a distinctive poetic voice in modern Indian English literature. Fragments (2025), is his new collection of poetry that examines the intersections of love, memory, and transformation, and marks a significant development in his creative trajectory. In addition to his literary work, Shariq is a graduate in Economics and holds two PGDs from the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru — one in Child Rights Law and another in Human Rights Law. His research and commentary have appeared in platforms such as South Asian Voices, The Diplomat, Muslim Mirror, PolicyCircle along with numerous academic journals covering themes of geopolitics, Middle East policy, human rights, and constitutionalism. Shariq’s writings are frequently noted for their emotional depth, lyrical precision, and intellectual range, bridging the worlds of literature, social thought, and international studies. . |
