Haiku is not merely a poetic structure—it is a way of seeing. In A Drop of Future, Saki Inui invites us into a world where the smallest moments shimmer with meaning in three lines. Each haiku feels like a fleeting glimpse—brief, precise, and resonant.
Unawares,
the flying carpet
takes someone’s dream onboard
The thoughtful English translations, the spirit of the original Japanese is preserved while reaching a broader audience. The collaboration ensures that these poems travel across language and culture without losing their subtle emotional depth. At its heart, A Drop of Future is a quiet celebration of life’s fleeting moments of love, solitude, memory, and imagination. |
