Chris Haley's "Why" is a poignant collection of poems that explore themes of loss, love, and the enduring questions of life. Dedicated to his nephew Jesse, the poems delve into the profound impact of grief and the search for meaning in the face of tragedy. The collection is marked by Haley's raw and honest exploration of emotions. His vivid imagery and introspective tone capture the complexities of grief, from the initial shock and disbelief to the lingering pain and unanswered questions. Through poems such as "Timeless," "Helpless," and "One More Hug," Haley conveys the overwhelming sense of loss and the longing for a loved one who is no longer present.

Beyond grief, the poems also touch on themes of love, relationships, and the pursuit of personal fulfillment. "Yours For The Asking" and "Hand in Hand" explore the complexities of love and the challenges of maintaining a connection. "Pick up a Pen" and "The Fates" delve into the pursuit of dreams and the role of destiny in shaping one's life. Overall, "Why" is a powerful and moving collection of poetry that offers a deeply personal exploration of grief, love, and the enduring questions of life. Haley's ability to convey raw emotion and complex themes makes this collection a compelling read for anyone who has experienced loss or is searching for deeper meaning in their own lives.
