"The title of the play was Snick Snickeeta's Festival initially. After the premier reading at Frank Silvera's Writers' Workshop, I was questioned by Pat White and Garland Thompson about purpose and commitment to the characters. To define my message and theme. In other words, re-write the play! I did. I updated it two or three years later with a new title. I am happy with the result! The Sons of Snick Snickeeta has, to date, been one of my most ambitious efforts! AND, timeless as it speaks to needs we all have that don't change. I wanted to say we are all human beings. There is definitely 'something' of a Higher Consciousness that protects and guides us. Once we 'allow' that Entity into our minds and hearts with a true commitment of Faith that is total...we can rise above any conflict real or imagined!"
