Now on Amazon-Books, Jim Hanson’s new book is Ruminations: Poems on Living and Dying. It recognizes what most of us deny – namely that much of life is passage through the dark side of struggle, madness, violence, and death. The aim is to recognize and cope with what is otherwise denied at our peril.

In this poetry collection, there is a hint of intense imagination and subtle fancy. At its best these poems have been composed in a plain and matter-of-fact style. The language of these poems is full of simplicity and directness.
