Aiswarya T Anish on Asianet News

My name is Aiswarya T Anish. I'm 13 . I am from Kerala, India. I went to Sree Narayana Trusts Central School, Nangiarkulangara, Harippad, Alappuzha till 8th standard. Currently, I'm doing 9th grade at Trivandrum International School, Trivandrum. My father is Mr. Anish Raj and my mother is Mrs. Thara Anish. I love my life here and it is this hometown that has made me what I am. I've been writing poetry since I was 3. I feel the reason I write poetry is because of my hometown. I have been living here as long as I could remember and even a little leaf that sway on trees have filled me in with the intricacies of life. What I was, what I am and what I will be was based, is based and will be based on what my village and it's people have taught me, teach me and will teach me.. We do not have a cinema, A Burger King or a Pizza Palace here. We look into the lives of the so-called sophisticated people through the movies that come on T.V. People think it embarrassing to say they are from a village. But I feel proud to be a part of a rich heritage and culture that will only be found in the most remote of places. My first poem was about a butterfly. My mom used to help me with spellings and stuff and there was always a dad who was ready to take me anywhere. Who would've I been without those super-powers that have been my source of energy as long as I can remember and will be for years to come.
