The first two chapters are first person narratives from Cassie and then Alison. Following chapters are third person narratives taking us back to Cassie’s schooldays charting her descent into turmoil caused by abuse and the action she takes to break the stranglehold over her.
Cassie Jackson opens this novel looking out of the window of her sixth-floor flat, holding her baby son, Will, mulling over her current situation.
