Cloud Compass, an award-winning collection of new and selected poems by Marta Knobloch, is divided into two parts.

The first, "Shadow Painting," is a series of poems inspired by the life and work of Laurence Hope, an Edwardian poet whose work revealed her fascination with the peoples and cultures of 19th-century India.

The second, "Boxing the Compass," is made up of poems that reflect the author's lifetime spent in circling the globe.

The book's underlying motif is how explorations of other lands and cultures profoundly enhanced the lives of both poets.

It received an Honorable Mention for Writer’s Digest’s Self-Published e-Book Awards in the Poetry category, 2015.
