Sudhanshu Bakshi

Sudhanshu Bakshi: comes from a humble background, born at Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, India and was one of the eight siblings. Later, he did his post-graduate from IIT, Kharagpur and has been a Petrophysicist and a Petroleum Exploration & Development professional. He had a long stint at India s premier National Oil Company-ONGC and got to work at various places in India-viz. Ahmedabad, Dehradun, Delhi, Jorhat, Mehsana, Ankaleshwar and Mumbai. He also got the opportunity to travel widely in India and abroad to USA, UK, France, Brussels, Holland, Singapore. Presently he is working as Vice President (Petrophysics) at Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation, GSPC, Gandhinagar, India. Author lives alone in Ahmedabad. A soft-spoken person with sensitiveness and feelings, his foray into poetry is very recent but according to him, this helped him overcome the travesties of life. The poems are the re-incarnation of feelings generated when he experienced daunting obstacles and unpleasant situations in real life. The poems helped him negotiate depression and lead a normal life- lonely but calmly. The poems in the present book Aaj Mere Naino Me Baadal Chhaye is a tribute to his loved one whom he lost unexpectedly due to cancer. Sudhanshu believes in human values and is disturbed by corruption, violence and apathy. Two of his books published earlier are Boy-from Hazaribagh , an autobiography and tumhaare Jaane Ke Baad - a collection of poems. |
